- Serious buyers have fewer houses to choose from during the Holidays and less competition means more money for you!
- January is traditionally the month for employees to begin new jobs. Since transferees can’t wait until spring to buy, you must be on the market now to capture that market.
- Houses show even better when they’re decorated for the Holidays.
- Since the supply of listings will dramatically increase in January (Spring Sellers), there will be less demand for your particular home. Less demand means less money for you.
- Buyers are more emotional during the Holidays, so they are more likely to pay your price.
- You can still be on the market and have the option to restrict showings during the actual Holidays.
- The Holidays provide late winter buyers with vacation time to “window-shop” listings online—you need to be there when they are looking.
- Why not? Worst case scenario is that you don’t accept an offer during the holidays. Best case is that you find a ready, willing buyer that offers you a price you can’t refuse!
